The purpose of the test is to check the continuity of the windings and the correct ratio between their coils, verifying any anomalies.

The test consists in injecting an impulse into the terminals of the primary winding and checking, after a wait time shorter than 300 ms, the voltage value at the secondary winding terminals.

The value of the voltage to apply to the primary must be calculated depending on the voltage to be detected on the secondary, which must not exceed 0.3 V. Therefore:

VGen = ( Vmeas · N1) / N2

where:

VGen voltage applied to the primary

Vmeas theoretical voltage measured on the secondary

N1 number of coils for the primary

N2 number of coils for the secondary
